Here are some of our more recent success stories:

Dear Metalift,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for inventing and producing the Metalift Instrument. I purchased this device only a few weeks ago and already it has greatly altered and improved the delivery of dentistry in our practice.

Case History: 70-year-old woman with PFM bridge with 3 retainers and 3 pontics on lower anterior. This bridge was cemented with temp cement 10 years ago, however, the dentist was unable to retrieve it for permanent cementation. Unfortunately one of the retainers came loose and this abutment tooth became very sensitive to the patient. In the past I would have tried to remove this bridge with a back action bridge remover, which would have been traumatic and probably ineffective. The alternate treatment plan would have been a redo of a serviceable bridge at high cost to the patient and considerable stress to an already anxious phobic dental patient.

With the Metalift, the bridge was removed in 3 minutes, some slight caries was excavated and bridge, permanently, re-cemented with a perfect fit 10 minutes later. The time saving in the office was considerable, we generated excellent revenue and the patient was extremely happy to save thousands of dollars and the discomfort of a long dental procedure. This instrument has been a fabulous addition to our armamentarium.

Yours sincerely,

P.B., D.D.S.

Dear Metalift,

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. After many years of being disappointed with the purchases of several different crown removal gizmos, I finally have a predictable easy to use instrument.
I had read about the Metalift instrument and had seen it demonstrated on models at several dental meetings. With much skepticism, I placed my order a few weeks ago only with the guarantee that it could be returned if I was not completely satisfied. Honestly, when the instrument arrived and I watched the entire instructional video and read the accompanying book, it seemed too good to be true.

To my delight the instrument has worked just as advertised. During these past two months I have used the instrument several times, to remove a three unit bridge, a crown with fractured porcelain that was returned to the lab for soldering of the access hole and new porcelain, a few crowns to evaluate for endodontic therapy, a crown with carries around margins and removal of a few crowns that needed replacements. This last example was actually easier than cutting the entire crown. By following the instructions very carefully it has only taken a few minutes to remove each crown. I find myself feeling more comfortable using the system.

Your product has so changed my outlook on crown removal, that I have recommended it and will continue to recommend it to my colleagues.

Thank you for a great product….

_____________

To whom it may concern:

I have been using your system for the past 9 months with significant success. In at least 80% of cases, I have been able to remove a full coverage restoration (primarily porcelain fused to metal) with no untoward effect on the porcelain or the fit of the crown. In addition, I have been able to successfully remove up to a 5 unit fixed bridge.

The ability to view the root morphology of a prepared tooth facilitates endodontic therapy regardless, however, the ability to refit a crown without incurring costs to the patient to re fabricate or to have to re-establish a goodly portion of the occlusal surface is a tremendous boon. Much of my practice is re treatment where the crown may have to be remade regardless. The ability to retain the crown intact so that it may be relined to be re fit temporarily is also a tremendous adjunct to quality care.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone as a truly conservative approach to crown removal. The only time I have and difficulty is usually a function of decay or a soft base beneath the metal of the crown, which is not a fault of the system, but rather of the preparation

Yours for better dentistry,

K.S.S., D.D.S., MMSc.

To whom it may concern:

After our phone conversation last week I wanted to follow up on you with how pleased I am with my Metalift. I have been doing crown and bridge work for over thirty years and have constantly been in search of an instrument like this. I had seen it advertised without really stopping to investigate for some time. In the last five months I have used it several times and it works in the most remarkable situations. This is a product I really believe in. If I were going to have a dental supply business of just special items, this would be a must.

Sincerely,

Dear Sir:

Today, excitement was fully shown, as we were able to remove a 22-year-old 6-unit bridge from #6-#11, with the Metalift Crown and Bridge Removal System.

The bridge was in very good shape. After polishing and re cementation with the key in place, composite was added over the access area. The patient was very pleased. Also, my entire staff was happy and excited. I told my staff, "The buck stops here" with the Metalift System.
Not only did I use it on a bridge today, but on a single unit. It, too, came off without a hitch. And the time it saved me, was incredible. Also, the video is well done. Good job to you folks at Metalift!

A Happy Dentist!

Dear Metalift System,

I am very pleased with your system as it allows me several options when confronted with an existing crown that needs same type of restorative treatment. Many times the best treatment option is not known until the crown is removed.
Your system allows me to practice in a conservative way and in the best interests of my patients. Your system has allowed me to improve my care to my patients. My patients and I thank you.

Sincerely yours,

It was great talking to you last week. Also, I enjoyed meeting you at the Chicago Mid-Winter Meeting. You do a great job of presenting the Metalift System.
I have only removed one gold crown so far, but it was a snap and took less than 5 minutes. However, I recently had my mouth restored by Dr. D. Baird in Bellevue, Washington and introduced the Metalift to him. He took 2 gold crowns and one porcelain/gold crown off for me and couldn’t believe how easy it was. He is sold and will soon be ordering a Metalift from you.
Dr. Baird is one of the foremost cosmetic dentists in the country. He does a great deal of lecturing and hosts many study clubs and hands-on clinics at his facility in Bellevue. I know he will give the Metalift a super endorsement. You should get many orders from Northwest area and from other dentists who take his courses.
So, as I mentioned to you on the phone, I would be especially pleased to receive any rewards you may give to those who endorse the Metalift. I feel this is a significant endorsement since I recommended the Metalift to a doctor who will extol its virtues to hundreds of other doctors.

Sincerely,

Dear Bob,

I wanted to drop you a note before I forget to let you know about an experience that I had using the Metalift System this morning in my office. I had seen a young lady that had porcelain fused to metal crowns on teeth number’s 18 and 19 done by another dentist several years ago. Both teeth had abscessed and were in need of root canal therapy and the facial porcelain was fractured on #19 as well. One of her concerns (she is extremely esthetic conscious) had to do with drilling through her crowns and the appearance and integrity of the crowns thereafter. I informed her that I had recently purchased the Metalift System and would be using this to attempt to remove her crowns prior to her endodontic therapy in hopes of preventing me having to bore large holds in her crowns to access the diseased nerves in her teeth. I’m happy to say that our experience today with this system was quite impressive. I was able to remove both crowns without much trouble at all. Our endodontic therapy was easily accomplished and the porcelain repairs (the fractured porcelain as well as the access holes for the keyway were easily repaired. My patient was very pleased as well as impressed. Thanks for your efforts in perfecting this system and getting it out there in "clinical dentaland." I realize that this system is the result of many years of experimentation and refinement before this product came to market and just wanted to let you know of a success story that has occurred down here in Cajun Country.

Dear Metalift,

I am very pleased with the Metalift. Already it has saved me remakes on 3 crowns due to open contacts. Instead of having to cut off the crowns I removed them with the Metalift and had the contacts soldered to correct the open contact. On root canals, I remove the crowns very easily and do the root canal and therefore avoid a large access opening. The system works, but you must practice with it and use it. These instructions with it are first note and if used according to the instructions, I feel a 95% success rate is easily achievable.

Thank you,

Dear Sir,

At the recent California State Dental Meeting in San Francisco, I purchased your Metalift Crown and Bridge Removal System. Since then I have salvaged several fixed prosthesis where one abutment had failed. One case was seven-unit anterior porcelain on noble metal bridge. This bridge was on a female patient who has undergone extensive cancer treatment. She was very grateful not to have had the expense of a new bridge. My technician was also able to repair the fractured porcelain on the centrals while it was off.

Thanks to your great video and technical manual, this technique was easy to master. You have made some of my patients very happy and you have made my job much easier. Wish I had this instrument 25 years ago. Thanks again and best wishes.

Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Westerman,

Just a note to say thanks for an innovative and affective time saver for dentistry. I’m impressed! Have used it twice, successfully, in the week I’ve had it. I’ve already talked to several colleagues about it. I honestly don’t know how I’ve gotten along without it.
Thank you! Also, thanks to Sandy for her tips when I ordered the kit and to Toni for answering my questions over the phone.

Dear Dr. Robert Westerman:

Thank you for the replacement burs and Metalift Instrument. I didn’t think this instrument would work, but to my surprise, it works great. The instrument pays for itself in a few weeks. Endo access is 100% better if you can remove the crown first.

Dear Metalift:

This is a follow up to my phone call. After being in a practice 18 years and having done my share of tapping and cutting apart crowns, this system has made my life (and my patients) easier. It’s simple design and predictable results make it a winner! My learning curve is still going on, but I have had success even with my first attempt. Thanks for inventing a marvelous tool.

To whom it may concern,

Patient appeared with old six unit bridge #9 through #13 with porcelain fractured off of two teeth and poor esthetics due to gum recession and exposure of _ crown metal margins. Had much for RC-1 was after to remove old bridge, do RC over build-ups of two teeth and then, after impressions, use the old bridge for a very effective temporary. If I had not been able to use the old bridge as a temporary I would not have been able to care for this patient without making them a much longer approximately or making a temporary bridge in advance. It took less than fifteen minutes to remove the bridge, but this included the time necessary to unwrap my newly arrived Metalift, read the directions and apply the components. It paid for itself twenty minutes after arriving.

To whom it may concern,

The Metalift System is worth its weight in gold. I’ve only had the opportunity to use it twice. Both times it saved the restoration and/or teeth/implants that needed to be saved. The first rescue gave me "goose bumps" when I felt the release of the cement. Very precise system, the keys to maintain the potency of the tap hole are fabulous!

Dear Sandy,

The Metalift Crown Removal System is the best crown removing system for preserving the crown for later replacement that I have used in my 26 years of dentistry. It comes with a technique manual and video to show the beginners how to carry the procedure. For anyone wishing to preserve a crown or bridge for later re cementation I fully recommend the Metalift.
